"We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo"...

Raffi anyone? If you haven't heard "Goin' to the zoo" by Raffi, consider yourself lucky because it will stay in your head for days on end. Lucky for us, we can't help but sing this song every time we go to the zoo...but it is worth it considering how much fun Jane has at the zoo!

On Saturday, we took advantage of the warm(er) weather, which, based on the pictures below, I don't think Jane enjoyed at all...

All of the "cats" were quite vocal and Jane's response was, "meow"...not quite kuchen!

Memphis has a new exhibit with grizzlie bears (or dogs, as Jane referred to them), which were quite active and had Jane's full attention.

Toddler Time - 16 months!

Peek-a-...
Boo!
Sometime over the last month or so, Jane decided it was time to truly be a toddler. From her ever-growing list of words and impressive animal sounds (ribbit-ribbit is my favorite!) to her love for every single book in the house, growing curiosity for Stanley ("Jane, please don't sit on Stanley" has been a recent comment in our house), and interest in initiating lots of games (Peek-a-boo is a dinnertime favorite by Jane) - we are wondering where our little tiny kuchen went!

Please note the strategically placed lion and penguin that Jane brought over for storytime. What good is a story if you can't share it with friends?

Jane's baby is still a constant in her life, but don't worry - we saved her from the bathtub. Baby does a lot of "watching" Jane do things these days.
