While home in Ohio, we decided to celebrate Jane's birthday a little early. Though Jane was a little stunned when we all began singing Happy Birthday (see picture below), she was a big fan of her very first taste of birthday cake and was not shy about showing us so!
Shortly after the cake (and brief sugar high), Jane crashed and was ready to fall asleep. But, please note the dog she is holding...she wasn't too tired to keep hanging onto it. Aunt Krista gave Jane a pound puppy that barks and wags its tail. 
Needless to say, with Jane's obsession with dogs, she didn't let it go and it provided her with much entertainment on the 11 hour drive back to Memphis.

The moving, barking pound puppy is fantastic! Oscar wants Jane to know that he's sorry if he licked it (and that he misses her!).
