Three Months

Jane's taking another big trip tomorrow to meet her great grandmother (Scott's grandma, Nanny, in New York), so we had to take and post her three month picture a day early. Funny how Jane and her friend's cheeks resemble each other. Hmmm. With that said, it has been another big month of growing! She's right on track and is fitting into her three month clothes now, mostly because she is so long. Her hair is starting to fill in (despite the obligatory bald spot on the back of her head). And, her eyes are becoming more blue...maybe they'll stay blue?
Jane and Mom are having fun at home these days -playing with toys, reading books, listening to music, going for lots of walks, maybe a little shopping every so often, and lots of giggling.

Jane enjoys a morning snooze in Mom and Dad's bed every so often.

The best thing about this month has been Jane's discovery of her voice! Over just the past two weeks she has started to "talk". Each day she becomes more vocal, babbling to whomever will listen. On the changing table, in her swing, on her playmat, in Mom or Dad's arms, looking in the mirror - these are all places where she likes to "talk". Earlier this week, Scott and I woke up around 6 in the morning to Jane "talking" to herself in her crib. She was doing this for a long while before I decided to take this video. It's dark, but you can hear all her sweet sounds:

We're working on "mama" and "dada"...we'll let you know how that progress goes. Needless to say, we are looking forward to all that the next month has in store for us!
