And so to celebrate we took in a game at Autozone Park, where the Redbirds were yet again handed a stinging loss by the Nashville team. We were joined by Giles, Betsy, Sara, and Tom (friends and spouses from St. Jude). We sat in the outfield for $5! Too bad the beer was more expensive than the game!
We also made a trip over to Jill and Chris' for Wii. We had a great time also playing a really funny game involving word association & charades. Someday you will have to ask Jonnett how to act out "Pink Lloyd." We also got to take in a bit of "Delta Fair." Think carnival in the south and that's what ya got. We were supposed to see the Spin Doctors, but the lead guitar guy had a heart attack the day before, so we got the lead singer doing an acoustic performance. I think that actually worked out better than the intact band would have. At any rate, we had a great weekend! Yeah for Benny, yeah for being out of the Air Force!!!

Benny Comes to Memphis
So one of the upsides to living in Memphis (we are looking hard for them these days) is that Benny is just a stone's throw away in Alabama. It was will much excitement that Capt. Benny made the journey from the deep to mid-south. It also served as a great opportunity to celebrate the fact that Benny is now free from the Air Force! Yes, after 6+ years, which included a trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Iraq, he has successfully completed his service for the good ol' USA.
