Okay, so she's about 2 1/2 months at this point, but she didn't have her two month check-up until yesterday. Regardless, Elise is certainly a happy camper these days and is happy to let us know it by blessing us with LOTS of smiles. We can't complain about this! She has also started cooing and making other super cute noises. Jane always asks "What is she saying?" If only we knew. At her check-up, big sister Jane was present as well (for an ear-check...after her 4th ear infection of the season!). And thankfully she was there because she had a very important job - comforting Elise when she got her vaccinations. Jane took this job very seriously and was awaiting Elise's "shots" throughout the entire appointment. When it finally came time, Jane pulled a chair up to the exam table where Elise was laying, confidently and gently held one of Elise's hands. Then, when Elise started to cry, Jane reached out for the other hand as well to comfort her. It was such a sweet moment. The sister bond has definitely formed.
Enough sappiness, now for the stats - Elise weighed in at 12 lbs 9 oz (7 lbs 10 oz at birth - that's a 5 lb weight gain folks!) and 23 ins. She is just above the average percentile in all categories. Her doctor said, she looks perfect! We think so too.

That is so cute about Jane holding Elise's hands as she was getting her shots! You have two sweet little girls!
