We are all pleased to announce the birth of Elise Rose
Maurer on January 4, 2o12 at 4:10 pm. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 10 oz. and is 20 in. long. She was born on her due date, something that only 5% of babies do these days. What can we say, the girl is punctual!
Mommy did a great job with the whole labor and delivery thing. Elise was quite eager to arrive and there was barely enough time for an epidural placement. Luckily, Mommy is super tough.
Daddy had the easy job!
Elise was alert even shortly after birth. She's cought right on with the whole feeding thing and I am sure will have chubby cheeks in no time.
Jane has been an extremely good big sister. She refers to Elise as "my sister" and "my baby." She loves to hold her and even came up with the idea to have birthday cake for her. Yes, it's true, she's a genius!

We are so happy for you guys! Elise is beautiful, and Jane really is a genius. You're lucky parents!! We miss you all a ton.
