A weekend with our dear friends from Memphis was the perfect way to spend a June weekend, especially for the Memphis girls as the temps in Pittsburgh were at least 20 degrees cooler! Jane certainly didn't mind all of the attention either! It had been a year since we had moved away from Memphis, which was the last time we saw Jeri, Tracy, and Dvorah (Elizabeth - we missed you!). Jane has grown up quite a bit in that year and the girls were definitely smitten by her antics...or maybe it was the other way around!
Though it was a short visit, we made sure to make the most of it with good shopping. good food, good wine, and a few Pittsburgh sites as well. Jane was certainly not forgotten during a trip to a local bakery, where the girls brought her home a special treat - a gigantic dog cookie made with black icing that stayed with Jane for days - but she didn't seem to mind!
Jane enjoyed lots of playtime as well...slyly convicning Tracy to sport her fireman's hat. Based on these smiles, I don't think she had to twist Tracy's arm too hard.
Thanks so much for making the trip to Pittsburgh ladies! We loved seeing you, can't wait for our next reunion, and now have to constantly hear, "Where's Miss 'dborah'? Where's Miss Tracy? Where's Miss Jeri?" You are missed!
