First Haircut!

Well, it was time. Despite my insistence during Jane's first year, let's be honest, she really didn't have much hair. Then, this year it started growing in like crazy...and most recently, it had become a bit unruly. So, today was the day for Jane's first haircut.

Here she and dad are getting settled in. I particularly think Scott looks dashing in his stylish zebra print cape. Here's Jane, dad, and Bess - the miracle stylist. A few stickers, no tears (except for when she busted out the hairdryer), and just 10 minutes with her scissors, and Bess made our little kuchen into a little girl!

Jane likes it too! (Don't pay attention to the sauce on her nose). Isn't she cute? Now let's just hope those curls grow back! And, just for fun - a little later while reading bedtime stories, Jane modeled her "arms crossed" look. This is her "I Dream of Jeanie" impersonation!

TWO!

Well, here we are, two years later and still havin' fun. What I can say is that in these two years our little Janey has learned one essential truth: Birthday = Cupcake. Awwww yeah! Plenty of cake to go around in this family!

And let's not forget about the presents! We got tons of those. Here Janey is busting into a new race car set sent to her by Devo! Let's see...cars, art stuff, counting toys, advent calendar. She cleaned up!

A quick trip to Michigan brought more cake as well as time with grandma, nana, and papa. Mommy and daddy got to go to the MSU game complete with tailgating. Amy and Frank were awesome hosts and showed us a great time.

I think she likes cake...

Finally, we headed over to the park where a MASSIVE play structure awaited. Jane and Claire had tons of fun climbing, running, and swinging. It was an awesome b-day!

Happy Halloween!

So Janey dove headlong into Halloween this year. It started out in Ohio with her cousins and lots of playing and dressing up. Jane didn't seem to care that she was in the same outfit as last year, but she wasn't quite sure about Jacob's mask. You can see that she is CLEARLY concerned about what is behind her.

Back in the 'burgh we had a great dinner and pre-birthday celebration with the Ashers. Jane went around the neighborhood and collected a glow in the dark necklace (a hit to be sure) and a little bit of candy for her parents.

Jane also seemed more comfortable with Sam and Sydney's costumes. Yes Jane, skeleton babies are WAY less scary than evil clowns.
