A day with Jane

Scott was on call today, so it was just Jane and I hanging out (let's not forget about Stanley too!). Per usual, Jane proved to make it a fun day with lots of laughs.
Enjoy the videos!
Yesterday Jane imitated me as I shook my head from side to side. Tonight, she initiated the shaking and took it to a whole new level:

Jane got a big kick out of knocking the blocks over and over and over... We kept this game going for about 45 minutes. Be sure to get a good look at her facial expression when the blocks go "boom"...it is priceless. I attempted to get a picture of it, but that was a bit tricky. I'll keep trying!

Jane is definitely a big fan of peek-a-boo. Jane is also a big fan of the shower curtain in our bathroom. Put the two together and you get this squeal:

Chicago Marathon

Last weekend, Scott, Jane, and I hopped in the car and made the trek up to Chicago for the weekend. Nana and Papa, BethAnn and Kyle, and Kyle's parents, all met us in the windy city on Saturday, just in time for the big race on Sunday. Jane had fun hanging out with everyone. She spent time reading books with Nana:Papa kept Jane warm on race morning while the whole crew cheered on the runners and waited to spot Kyle, BethAnn, and I at mile 12.
Yeah - they found me out of 45,000 runners! (Take note of the hat and gloves. At the start, it was 35 degrees. A bit different from Memphis weather!)
We all made it to the finish - go team! It was a great run through the many Chicago neighborhoods with over 1.5 million spectators cheering us along the course. Jane was happy to see Mommy at the end and particularly interested in my medal.
Thanks to Daddy and Jane for being my biggest fans!
As an extra bonus, we got to spend time with Ashley, Damian, and Liam! They graciously let us hang out with them on Friday and Sunday nights. What a treat for us, although, we were so tired from the drive and the marathon that we forgot to take pictures!

Eleven Months!

We know you have been waiting anxiously for the much anticiapted bear shot, but Jane has been keeping us busy and it has been difficult to catch Jane sitting still. Alas...

Ever since Jane's first steps a few weeks ago, Jane hasn't been eager to continue walking. But, she is definitely cruising like crazy. We finally found a push toy for her that allows her to explore every bit of the house...
Apparently Jane enjoys hanging out under the dining room table. Here she is showing off one of her favorite books - First Words. She seeks out this book and really loves flipping the pages, especially to the dog picture!
