Life is Supa Dupa!

We are having a good summer here in Memphis. The temperature has been completely reasonable. So recently we decided to go and get some lunch at a local restaurant and we sat...gasp!...outside! Here we were pleasantly surprised to find a live singer complete with percussionist and mandolin player. Yes, an actual mandolin. Anyway, we were lucky to have discovered Valerie June singing her heart out. Jane was absolutely enthralled by the whole thing and clapped along to the music (see above).

We also want to share this totally adorable video of Jane and her Papa laughing and playing together. We think it's hard to say who was having a better time.

We've also got some pretty good video of Jane showing off her giggling skills. Listening to this never gets old...OK, maybe if you're not her parent it could, possibly get a little old. Possibly.

Enjoy y'all! We hope you are having a good summer as well!

Cousins! (Road Trip: Part 2)

Our little road trip also included a trip to Lansing: capital of the Great State of Michigan and home to the newest member of the family, Claire. Jane was just as interested in her new cousin as the rest of us were (note: Claire is 7 lbs. 8 oz in this picture, which was Jane's weight at birth - amazing how fast they grow)!

Jaeden and Cole were also along for the trip. We had a fun time playing hide and seek, going to the water park, and just goofing around. They were very good with their two new cousins, although Cole was a little disappointed that Jane didn't really like to be held anymore.

Grandma and Grandpa Odom also got in on the action. They were staying at a hotel and Jane got to take advantage of the pool. This kid absolutely loves to be in the water. The Kuchen also had a great time hanging out with Grandma as evidenced below.

For his part, Uncky Frank is getting used to his new role as daddy. If his hair looks like this now, wait until Claire brings home her prom date! :)

All in all we had a great trip to the Middle West, and it was fun to see all of our family members. We also got a chance to visit our dear friends Chris, Rachel, and Makena in Indy on the way home. I think by this time we were so tired we just forgot to take any pictures though!

Visiting Liam and Michigan (Road Trip: Part 1)

OK, let's just say it's been awhile since our last post...we've been busy people! A couple of weeks ago we all went on a mammoth road trip. We started out in Chicago visiting Ash, D, and Liam (aka Jane's future husband). We got to know the little guy, who is pretty darn handsome. We had a great time gazing at the baby (even Jane joined in) and swimming in the pool.

Later on we headed to Michigan to visit Nana and Papa. We took a trip to Lake Michigan where Jane marched right into that cold water! Papa was all too happy to show her the ropes!

Jane also made her beach debut. She was fully equipped with her sunglasses and beach attire. It was a perfect day of playing in the sand and sitting in the water. Jane had a great time with Nana and Papa and says she can't wait to get back to the Great Lakes!
