While our nation was celebrating it's 233rd birthday, Jane was celebrating 8 months. I mean, 8 months might not seem like a lot next to 233 years, but look at all the Kuchen has accomplished in just 8 little months. So there was that whole being born thing. That was all followed by figuring out eating, breathing, blowing zerberts, and crawling. This week Jane moved on to pulling to stand, and she added "wah, wah, wah" to the old standbys of "yaya, lala, and baba." Sure it's no Declaration of Independence (we don't expect that until age 13 or so), but it's quite a start!
To celebrate we participated in the 60th annual High Point Terrace (our neighborhood) 4th of July Parade. It was Rockwellian in it's wholesome American goodness. After the whole family (including Stanley) marched around with Jane's pimped out stroller, the Memphis Fire Department opened up a fire hydrant and the fun began.
